Mission

Department details (workforce, scope, environment, etc.):

The 5-person Warehouse Process CE team drives regional process optimization, data analytics, and WMS evolution while onboarding new clients. It bridges site Operations with Commercial, Solution Design, clients, and Corporate functional departments.

Description of the mission (main duties, contacts, etc.):

Main Mission:

Standardize work-measurement methodologies and engineer automated analytical tools to optimize labor standards, streamline quotation turnaround times, and maximize post-project profitability across process engineering operations.

Methodology & Knowledge Transfer: Institutionalize the FM (and potential Methods-Time Measurement - MTM) work-measurement frameworks by creating structured training modules, supporting process engineers, and conducting hands-on time studies to audit atypical Labor Management System (LMS) measurements.

  • Master the FM methodology for measuring time standards.

  • Organize training materials by gathering archived files, supplementing missing exercise materials, and creating a structured training proposal.

  • Prepare materials to verify knowledge and provide ongoing technical support for current process engineers.

  • Perform practical measurements on sample standards to verify atypical results obtained from the LMS.

  • (Optional) Gather internal insights on the MTM methodology from employees and evaluate its potential as an alternative tool.

Analytics & Tool Automation: Build automated diagnostic systems—including an LMS deviation analyzer, a logistics parameter change analyzer, and baseline pricing calculators—to accelerate quote turnaround times and align capacity planning with corporate objectives.

  • Build an LMS deviation analyzer to automatically identify incorrect labor standards.

  • Create a logistics parameter change analyzer to evaluate financial impact and suggest rate adjustments.

  • Develop an automated baseline pricing tool to significantly reduce quote turnaround times.

  • Coordinate and execute capacity planning in alignment with corporate plans.

Financial Modeling & Continuous Improvement: Construct accurate cost models for commercial quotes and establish a post-startup profitability and gap-analysis model in collaboration with SD and PM to capture actionable lessons learned.

  • Execute calculations and build comprehensive cost models for standard quotes.

  • Collaborate with SD and PM to develop a detailed post-startup profitability and gap analysis model to strengthen the "lessons learned" process.
